Changes superheated steam to saturated or high/low pressure/temperature steam
Our desuperheaters provide effective heat transfer between steam and water and produce saturated steam or low pressure/low temperature steam from superheated steam or high pressure/high temperature steam.
Water supplied to desuperheater is injected as small drops and lowers the temperature of superheated steam so that it can be used effectively for heating or for other industrial use.
The overall purpose, therefore, of a desuperheater is to provide effective heat transfer and ensuring that costly problems are avoided, including extended startup and shutdown times, reduced process efficiency, and general wear of downstream piping and equipment.
